Friday, October 23rd: No School! Sleep in and take a Zoom holiday.
How to check your child’s progress and grades in Google Classroom, click here.
Next week, we will be starting working on multiplication in math. Memorization of math facts is very important for student success in fifth grade and in middle school.
Students who leave fifth grade without memorizing their math facts are more likely to struggle in middle school and be slowed down by all of the computations in their math class.
Starting next week, I highly suggest spending 5-10 minutes a few nights per week with your child helping them work on their multiplication math facts.
As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
The video message is below – have a great weekend!
Hello families! Happy Friday!
Please submit your order form for your child’s fifth grade spirit shirt. These shirts are FREE thanks to leftover donations from last year’s fundraisers.
The order form can be found here inside your child’s Google Classroom.
I suggest ordering one size larger than your child normally wears so that they can grow into the shirt during the year. Please also note that these shirts are 100% cotton and they tend to shrink in the wash.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Have a great weekend!
Thanks for another wonderful week.
Next week –
NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 7th, for Labor Day holiday.
We will have a paperwork return day and materials pickup day on Wednesday, September 9th. Please return the back to school paperwork that was sent home with your child when they picked up their books.
If your child is missing any books or supplies, please email me as soon as possible so that I can put together a supply bag for you to pick up on September 9th.
Have a great three day weekend everyone! Stay cool in the heat!
